I love it when people are totally satisfied with their cakes.  My niece was definitely happy with her Dora cake this year.  Can't wait until next year!

Cake, cake, and more, cake

I am looking forward to a busy weekend.  I have a birthday cake to deliver Friday afternoon, and 50th birthday cake on Saturday as well.  It will be a busy weekend, but it should be fun!  I love it when I get an order from someone who asks me to "make it look cute".  Talk about possibilities!!! My first thought is "hummmmm cute.  Now that I can do!"

Let the blogging begin!

I am new to blogging to say the least, but so far it doesn't seem to be too difficult.  I decided to start blogging to make it easy to share my cakes with the world.  I LOVE baking cakes..wedding cakes, birthday cakes, shower cakes, cup cakes, any kind of cake, I'm not picky.  I started out baking with my grandmother when I was in junior high.  I can remember helping her on the weekends when she had a wedding cake to complete, and watching her make flower after flower out of icing.  I never really understood how she could spend so much time in the kitchen.  I spent years watching her work, and helping her when I could.  Only when I delivered my first solo cake did I realize just how much she enjoyed it.  Now I am the one spending hours in the kitchen and working tediously to get the icing just right on a wedding cake, or creating custom candles for a birthday cake to complete the cake theme.  I love that I have been blessed with the opportunity to help make cake dreams come true for brides and little princesses on their birthday.
